Synopsis

The next film by Jia Zhangke, set to begin production in December 2026 and aiming for a Cannes 2027 premiere, will be a road travelogue film without cars, following a female character who will travel from China's northwest to the south, or as described by Jia: "from a place that is extremely cold, to a place that is extremely warm.”
